Textron Leadership Development Program: Engineering
Program Overview
As one of the world's leading aerospace, defense and industrial manufacturers, we depend on our engineers to make industry leading contributions to our team. From conducting a stress analysis test on an aircraft or utilizing proprietary computer-based modeling programs to integrate new systems into our many products, engineers at Textron are constantly driven to excel to ensure that we deliver only the finest products to our customers.
The Textron Leadership Development Program for Engineers (LDP:E) is a rotational development program designed to give high-potential engineering candidates an opportunity to work across multiple Textron business units early in their careers. Program participants rotate through three, twelve-month assignments across various Textron business units, developing hands-on experience with various engineering challenges.
Program benefits include program management/project engineering experience, other leadership and on-the-job technical training and exposure to and work experience at multiple business units in different functional areas.

LDP:E Target Candidate Profile
LDP:E participants are high-potential candidates with future leadership potential. As such, successful candidates possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Computer, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Motivated to deliver high quality results
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to successfully manage multiple demands
- Mobility
- Passion for engineering
