Angelo M. Butera was named president and CEO of Textron Financial Corporation's (TFC) Non-Captive Finance division in February, 2011. Most recently, he served as TFC's executive vice president and chief risk officer, working closely with the liquidating divisions of TFC to help reduce its overall risk exposure and resolve troubled credits. Prior to that, he served as TFC's executive vice president and chief credit officer.

Butera joined TFC in 1987, and during the last 24 years has held a number of senior leadership positions across TFC's divisions, including senior vice president, credit and special assets for the Resort Finance Division – which remains a sizable piece of the non-captive business. During tenure at the Resort Finance Division, operating profits increased from $3 million to $50 million. He has also served as senior vice president, credit and special assets for the Specialty Finance Group, vice president credit and operations for the Vendor Finance Division and assistant vice president for both Corporate Investment Control and the Real Estate Finance Division.

Previously, Butera served in several strategic planning and financial analyst roles and Mellon Bank and U.S. Steel Corporation. He has also taught a variety of finance and business and managerial accounting courses for several colleges and universities, including the University of Pittsburgh.

Butera received his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, as well as an M.B.A. from Carnegie-Mellon University's Tepper School of Business Administration. He also has completed Textron's Global Leadership program at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.
